The museum is open between 10:00 (11:00 on Sundays) and 5:00 and our booking slots are timed to coincide with the departure times of our museum tours which are 11:00, 12:30, 2:00, and 3:00. Please aim to arrive promptly for your entry time and if you arrive before your booked time slot you may visit the museum until the departure time of your museum tour. Timed entry has been introduced to ensure that we can manage numbers and avoid overcrowding, and if you are having difficulties with your voucher redemption, please call us on 0141 616 6139.

When presenting our staff with your tickets, you may either show a paper copy or a PDF on a phone or tablet. If you have made a booking with a gift voucher, please bring your voucher alongside your tickets.

If you are a carer and are looking to bring a service user or someone you look after to visit the museum and/or museum, you are eligible for a concessionary rate when making a booking. For more information, please call us on 0141 616 6139.

Visitors with disabilities may admit one accompanying career free of charge

Thanks to funding from Manchester City Council we are able to offer free admission to visitors who pay their council tax to Manchester City Council.

# Eligible City of Manchester postcodes: M1, M2, M3,(Manchester City Council tax payers only), M4, M8, M9, M11, M12, M13, M14, M15, M16, (Manchester City Council tax payers only), M18, M19, M20, M21, M22, M23, M40, M90. Please note that you must pay your council tax to Manchester City Council (as opposed to any other council) to be eligible for free admission.

Tickets are non transferable and ID must be produced each time you visit.
